In 2021, we awarded
three academic grants, totalling $35,000, as part of our Research Grants Program.
We recently caught up with two of the researchers – Dr Ronli Sifris and Dr Jennifer Bleazby, both of Monash University – for in-depth interviews about how their research work is progressing.
Dr Sifris is inquiring into the influence of religion in beginning and end-of-life medical treatment in Australia and conscientious objection provisions in abortion and voluntary assisted dying laws.
Dr Bleazby is inquiring into religious education in Australian government schools and whether current laws, policies, practices and curricula undermine the fundamental aims of education.
