We’re pleased to welcome two elected representatives as guest speakers for next week’s RSA Webinar to discuss how momentum is building for local councils and parliaments to replace prayer rituals.

Abigail Boyd MLC and Councillor Jodi Reynolds will share about their efforts to replace prayer rituals in their respective government institutions with practices that are more secular, inclusive and representative of their communities’ religious and non-religious diversity.

Ms Boyd is making another attempt to change the practice in the upper house of the New South Wales Parliament, having placed a new motion on the Notice Paper.

Last month, Cr Reynolds successfully pushed the Mildura Rural City Council in Victoria to begin work on drafting a more inclusive affirmation for council’s consideration.
