Last week I included a link to a performance of Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings and asked, "Is this the most beautiful piece of music ever composed?" 

Here is a selection of other beautiful pieces sent in (thank you!):

• Arvo Part Cantus (in memorium Benjamin Britten)
• Canteloube - Bailero
• Gabriel Faure - Pavane
• Rachmaninov Piano Concerto no 2
• and, of course, the Pachelbel Canon.

The other one I would add is this: Ornen (Forgiveness), the theme song from the original Scandi Noir series, The Eagle.
