Greetings from Newport, Rhode Island, where I am taking some personal
leave. Gorgeous weather, lovely old port town (now somewhat touristy). Enjoying getting to know (some of) American culture by immersion.
While this is not my usual RSAD, I did want to ask you, if it so moves you, to write to the Qld education minister, Grace Grace. She and her education dept have for far too long ignored the overt
proselytising of evangelical missionaries in Qld state schools - which are supposed to be secular, for goodness sake!
We need to increase the pressure on them to stop ignoring those of us who are fed up with the infiltration of Qld schools by the religious, desperate to defend their shrinking base of support but still
powerful enough to demand their pound of flesh from the Qld govt and bureaucracy.
