Good morning ,

Well, I'm back and I won't bore you with one of those travel stories about airline experiences. Suffice it to say it took 17 hours + 3 hours + 2 hours + 4 hours + 1 hour to get from New York to home, and included a cancelled flight. 

But when I finally got home, I couldn't sleep because I was glued to a screen (like most other Australians, I imagine) watching the magnificent Matildas obliterate reigning Olympic champions, Canada, with their fabulous 4-0 win. First soccer game I have ever watched! Does make one proud.

Printed in the major dailies today, this open letter explodes the myth that the Voice would create a legal nightmare, written by people who would know.

Another in the excellent series by former senior federal public servant, Roger Beale: ".. the biggest lesson from the political polarisation in the US is that it is better to have lower overall economic growth but sustain a fairer society, than to go for broke while impoverishing ordinary citizens."

Annoyingly, this article fails to mention that most of the information in it comes from us at the RSA. Why??
