In presenting her analysis on the media's response to the rising number of Australians marking 'No religion' at the 2021 Census, Dr Banham spoke about how she had detected an underlying message of
concern among not just loud conservative media but also mainstream media.
"I did notice a really interesting theme of concern, of defensiveness and, potentially, fear,” she said.
