The ALP's National Conference is coming up next weekend in Brisbane.
For some inexplicable reason, their latest national platform (the document that details the policies they will take to the next election) has dumped the long-standing and historically important commitment to secular public schooling. [On second thoughts, I think I know why they've dumped it - a combination of religious interference and misguided flirting with modern day woke identitarianism].
Whatever the reason, please don't let them get away with it without a fight. Write to Jason Clare, the education minister, with a cc to Albo, Dreyfus, and national president Wayne Swan.
