Dear RSA Member,
Have you got a passion for the work of the Rationalist Society of Australia and want to help us succeed?
Why not think about becoming a member of our
board.
Nominations are now open for positions on the RSA board.
If you want to put your name forward at our Annual General Meeting next month, please send an email to secretary@rationalist.com.au with your nomination by Wednesday 30 October 2024. To be eligible, a
member must be over 18 years of age and be entitled to vote at a general meeting.
When nominating, feel free to share some brief information about yourself and your interest in joining the board.
The election of members to the board will take place at our AGM, being held on Zoom from 6pm AEDT on
Wednesday 20 November 2024. To attend the AGM, please register here.
Board members must have an interest in the advocacy work of the RSA, and provide oversight of finances,
strategy, risks and governance.
Being a board member is not onerous. The RSA board meets online every two months for meetings of no more than 90 minutes.
You can find out more about the board, and roles and responsibilities, here on our website.
If you are unable to attend the AGM but wish to have a proxy vote on your behalf, please let us know your preference in an email to secretary@rationalist.com.au. A proxy can be the chair or any other member in attendance.
Regards,
