In coming weeks, we’ll provide you with further information about the AGM and share with you key documents that will be presented at the meeting.

If you are unable to attend, please nominate a proxy to vote on your behalf. A proxy could be the Chair of the meeting or another member who will be attending. Simply send an email to secretary@rationalist.com.au to let us know your preference.

CONSIDER NOMINATING FOR THE BOARD

This year’s AGM will be my first as President of the RSA. However, I will not be re-nominating for the role.

It has been a privilege to lead the board during this transition period following the departure of our long-standing president, Meredith Doig, at last year’s AGM.

As we are expecting some vacancies on the board, I’d like to encourage any of you who have some time and the necessary experience to consider putting your hand up to join the board. The time commitment is not too heavy, with the board meeting for 90 minutes every two months, and some committee work during the year.

Organisations like the RSA simply cannot survive without the generosity of passionate people who are prepared to volunteer some of their time.
